Spectre 2015 is the British twenty-fourth James Bond film produced by Eon Productions, and is the direct sequel to the 2012 film Skyfall. A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia, the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE.
The story sees James Bond pitted against the global criminal organisation Spectre, marking the group's first appearance in an Eon Productions film since 1971's Diamonds Are Forever. After the events of Skyfall, Bond has come out a troubled man. His mentor, M, is dead. MI6 is crumbling under a newer, high-tech organization led by the mysterious Max Denbigh. However, while in Mexico City, Bond finds an Italian hitman trying to bomb a major parade, and stops him. He finds a ring on his finger with a strange symbol on it. Following Garreth Mallory's promotion to M, on a mission in Mexico City unofficially ordered by a posthumous message from the previous M, 007 James Bond kills three men plotting a terrorist bombing during the Day of the Dead and gives chase to Marco Sciarra, an assassin who survived the attack.

When he returns to England his boss M is not happy because a government man known as C is trying to shut down the 00 network and replace it with a new surveillance system which will essentially put an end to privacy. Bond travels to Austria to find White, who is dying of thallium poisoning. He admits to growing disenchanted with Quantum and tells Bond to find and protect his daughter, Dr. Madeline Swann, who will take him to L'Américain; this will in turn lead him to Spectre. White then commits suicide.
